Moultonborough to Sell Tax Deeded Properties
The Town of Moultonborough is offering for sale eight (8) properties it acquired by Tax Deed in a sealed bid process. The properties range in size from 10,000 square feet to 20,500 square feet. The assessed value of the various parcels is in the $80,000+/- range. While the majority of the parcels are in the water-access community of Suissevale several others are located within the Balmoral water-access community.
A complete package with all the conditions of the sale, including the minimum bid price and use restrictions, is available in the SelectBoard offices. Normal business hours at 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Town Hall at 6 Holland Street Moultonborough. The package may be viewed for free or purchased for $25.00. The single page bid form is available for free (one form per parcel bid upon).
Karel Crawford, Chairman of the Moultonborough Selectmen said, “We hope this sale will return these properties to the tax rolls, raise revenue toward future land acquisition, and give people a chance to expand their properties and protect their lots.” The last such sale of tax deeded properties in Moultonborough was in 2005 and raised $135,000 for the town.
